What is the MILO Champions Band?

The MILO Champions Band is your child’s passport to Champ Squad! It is a wearable device for children 7-12 years old to help them reach their daily energy balance. It tracks activities, steps taken, calories burned, and the distance and time.

Sync it with the MILO Champions App so you can monitor your kid’s progress right from your phone.

Can my child use the band if he/she is below 7 years old and above 12 years old?

Your child may still use the MILO Champions Band. However, the nutrition information in the MILO Champions App were specifically developed for the physical and nutritional requirements of kids aged 7-12 years old.

How does my child use the band?

Your child’s band works by lightly tapping the left hand side button on the screen to scroll through different functions: Time/Date, Steps, kcal, Distance, Active Time, Achievement.

What exercises can my child do while using the band?

Most exercises can be done using the band except for body-contact, rough sports and water sports.

Can the band be submerged in water?

No. The band is not waterproof but it is water resistant.

How do I charge my child’s band?

Connect the USB charging clip on the back of your band. Plug the charger into a USB port or through an adapter, and wait for the power bar to appear. Once it reaches 100%, it means your device is fully charged.

Charging time is 1-2 hours, and will take around 7 days to discharge.

The MILO Champions band does not charge. What do I do?

Make sure you have properly connected the charging clip to the back of the band. If it still doesn’t work, you may bring the band to us for proper checking and evaluation.

For your information and due to the limited availability of MILO Squad Bands for now we are constrained to only replace bands that have defective hardware.

Can I replace my defective band?

We can use only replace the bands with defective hardware. Subject to Nestle inspection.

How do I set up my child’s band?

1. Download the MILO Champions App on your mobile device from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

2. Turn on your mobile device’s Bluetooth.

3. Open the MILO Champions App, create a profile for you and your kid, go to your kid’s profile page and select ‘Add a MILO Champions Band’.

4. Select the correct band from the list, and click ‘save’.

Make sure your band is charged and close to your mobile device in order to be synced.

How long does my child need to wear the band?

For accurate tracking of your child’s energy levels, it is recommended to have your child wear the band at all times.

How often do I need to sync the band with the app?

Ideally, you should sync the band with the app daily for accuracy of data being inputted. For some reason that you cannot do it every day, syncing must be done every 3 days so as not to lose any data from the band memory. Bands not synced after 3 days may lose their data.

How do I get the MILO Champions Band?

What is the MILO Champions App?

The MILO Champions App is the partner mobile app of your kid's MILO Champions Band. Once you sync it to the band, it will allow you to enter your champ’s activities and meals, and track his energy usage. It also gives recommendations on how your champ can achieve his energy balance, through proper food intake and the right amount of physical activity.

Plus, the kids’ dashboard of the app can motivate your champ to continue an active lifestyle by showing his daily progress.

What are the supported phones that can download the app?

Most iOS or Android smartphones that have been updated recently will be compatible with the app. Just make sure that your device is running iOS 7.0 or later and Android 4.3 or later. You can update your software in the ‘Settings’ area of your device.

How do I get the app?

Search for “MILO Champions App” on App Store for Apple/iOS users, and on Google Play for Android users.

I cannot download the app. What do I do?

1. Check if you are connected to the internet, and make sure your device is running iOS 7.0 or later and Android 4.3 or later.

2. Make sure your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account is set to Malaysia.

How do I create a profile for my child?

After registering, go to the dashboard and select ‘Create new Champion profile’. You can use your account to create a profile for each of your children.

What personal details do I need to add for my child?

Gender, Name, Date of Birth, Weight, Height and Photo.

How do I sync my child’s band with the app?

Tap ‘Press to sync band’ on your child’s account overview page. Make sure you’re connected to the internet, your Bluetooth is turned on, and his band is close to your device. If you have any problems, just force close the app and try again.

The app does not sync with the band. What do I do?

First, check to see if the app requires any updates:

1. Open up the App Store or Google Play and check for updates

2. If the option to update is present, update the app and reopen.

Second, restart your phone:

1. Once the phone has restarted open the app and try to sync

If it's still not working? Log out of the app and back in:

1. Open the menu within the app and log out

2. Sign in when prompted and try to sync again

If all of these don't work, try reinstalling the app:

1. Uninstall the app by following your manufacturer`s instructions

2. Reinstall the app and try to sync once it has started. You may need to log back in.

How do I see my child’s physical activity?

You can view his detailed progress daily, weekly, and on the average by selecting his profile on the main menu. It will also show the physical challenges that he is completing.

How do I use the nutrition analysis?

Simply update his meal planner after every meal (including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks) to see how many calories they’ve consumed, and the breakdown of nutrients they’ve got for the day.

What does the information in the nutrition calculator mean?

The nutrition analysis can help you improve your child’s nutrition. It can help you adjust and balance his diet by giving information on calories, nutrients, vitamins and minerals with every meal. Be reminded that these are only approximations, and are most relevant to children aged 7-12.

For specific advice on your child’s needs, you may consult a physician. He will refer you to a dietician who can go through your child’s intake with you, and make a recommendation on the best way to keep your child fit.

How does my child send a friend request?

1. Your child can press ‘add friend’ and search for their friend using their name or unique ID number.

2. You’ll receive a notification, and you can choose to accept or ignore the request. 3. Both you and the other child’s parent will need to approve this request before it is accepted.

How does my child challenge a friend?

1. Your child can select ‘play’ in the menu located at the bottom of the app, then choose whether they would like to set a challenge for today, this week, or this weekend.

2. The app will ask them to choose which friends they would like to challenge.

Can anyone see my child’s activity or personal information?

Only you, your child’s enrolled friends and their parents will be able to see your child’s unique ID, avatar and name. No other information will be given away.

Can my child communicate with strangers on the app?

Your child cannot communicate with others through this app. The only thing they can send and receive are friend and challenge requests, and these can only happen with the consent of all the parents involved.

Can anybody track the location of my child using the app or band?

No, there is no way that anyone will be able to see where your child is with the band or app. There’s no GPS function installed.

How will you protect the personal information of me and my child?

Our Privacy Policy sets out how Nestlé collects, stores and uses your personal information and how you can access and update your personal information or make a complaint. You may find the Privacy Policy of the app in the "Help and Support" of the app.

I deleted the app before. If I download again, will the old data still be available?

Yes. All data are synced to the cloud, so after deleting the app, the data is still there. You just need to log in with your name and password to retrieve your data.

I don’t have a child; can I use the app for myself?

You may use the app as you wish, but bear in mind that the activity and nutritional analysis were specifically programmed for kids 7-12 years of age.

Can the app work without the band?

Yes, the app can work without the band but not all functions will be available. You can still use the meal planner for energy intake, or manually input his activities to show energy output.

What do I get if I use the band and app?

Using the band and app together gives you the full experience of tracking and understanding your child’s activity levels. This will help you improve his nutrition and boost his energy, so you can keep him at the top of his game.
